What RimauLog stores

RimauLog stores the name and email supplied by Google sign-in, mentoring sessions, assignments, competency records, comments, Markdown notes and evidence links entered by authorised users.

Why it is stored

The information is used only to administer the mentoring relationship, document progress and allow the mentor and assigned student to collaborate.

Access and sharing

The workspace is invitation-only. Students can access their own mentoring records. The assigned mentor can access and manage their students’ records. RimauLog does not sell personal information.

Third-party services

Authentication and data hosting are provided through Google and Supabase. Application hosting is provided through Vercel. External evidence links may be hosted by services selected by the user.

Retention and requests

Records are retained while required for the mentoring programme. A student may ask the mentor to correct or delete their information, subject to any legitimate record-keeping requirement.

Security

Access is controlled through Google authentication, an approved-email list and database row-level security. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so users should not enter passwords, secrets or highly sensitive personal information in mentoring notes.
